The difference between HDPE and LDPE

What is the difference between HDPE and LDPE? Actually, both HDPE and LDPE are food grade materials. Also they are polyethylene. However, they have different density and properties.
HDPE is harder and rigid which has a higher chemical resistance. It can be widely used in plastic sports bottle with pull&push spout lid. LDPE is softer and more flexible. With a squeeze lid, it needs to match with LDPE bottle. Then the water can go out smoothly. You can choose the materials according to the function of water bottle.
