1. Material Structure and Density
LDPE (Low - Density Polyethylene) kettles have a more branched molecular structure. The density of LDPE generally ranges from 0.91 - 0.94 g/cm³. This branched structure gives LDPE its characteristic flexibility and softness.
On the other hand, HDPE (High - Density Polyethylene) has a more linear molecular structure. Its density is typically between 0.94 - 0.97 g/cm³. The linear arrangement of molecules makes HDPE more rigid and dense than LDPE.
- LDPE is generally less expensive to produce than HDPE due to its lower density and different manufacturing processes. As a result, LDPE kettles may be more cost - effective for consumers.
- HDPE kettles, while more expensive to manufacture, offer better performance in terms of rigidity, temperature resistance, and chemical resistance in some cases. Their production process may involve more precise molding techniques to achieve the desired rigid shape.
